Connect ServiceTitan through Enterprise Hub

Updated by eng@upsmith.com

Use a Network connection when your company manages ServiceTitan tenants through an Enterprise Hub network. UpSmith still connects each organization to its own tenant, while the app installation and credentials are managed at the API group level.

For a direct connection to one tenant, leave Connection type set to Tenant and follow Installing the Jenny AI App in ServiceTitan.

Before you start

  • An UpSmith account with permission to configure integrations.
  • Your ServiceTitan network ID and the tenant ID for this UpSmith organization. Your network administrator can provide the network ID; contact your ServiceTitan Customer Success Manager if needed.
  • A network administrator with access to API & Integrations in Enterprise Hub. The tenant must belong to the network and the chosen API group.

UpSmith manages the connection credentials. You do not need to enter a client ID or client secret in UpSmith, or send a secret to support.

1. Choose Network in UpSmith

  1. Open Integrations and find the ServiceTitan tile. Click Connect.
  2. Change Connection type from Tenant to Network. Tenant is the default.
  3. Enter the ServiceTitan network ID and ServiceTitan tenant ID, then click Connect.

The same connection-type choice is available on the standard ServiceTitan connection page after creating an organization from the workspace menu. The public account-signup onboarding flow continues to use tenant connections.

2. Install Jenny AI in your network's API group

In Enterprise Hub, open API & Integrations. Use an existing group containing the intended tenants, or create a suitable group. Open the group's menu, choose Connect New App, select Jenny AI, and complete ServiceTitan's permission and terms screens.

If Jenny AI is already installed in that API group, continue to the next step. You do not need another installation for every organization using that same group.

For the current Enterprise Hub menus and role permissions, see ServiceTitan's Enterprise Hub instructions. UpSmith handles the credentials for this connection; follow the UpSmith setup screen rather than manually generating or rotating a secret.

3. Enable access for this tenant

Make sure the target tenant is included in the API group and Jenny AI is enabled for that tenant. Installing the app at the network/group level does not automatically finish every tenant connection.

Return to UpSmith and click Check installation. Setup checks again while the connection is pending. You can leave and return: click Continue on the ServiceTitan tile to resume the saved request.

What the setup status means

  • Network app installed: the API group has enabled Jenny AI. Tenant access may still be pending.
  • Tenant access verified: UpSmith has successfully checked access to this tenant.
  • Connected: the tenant connection has completed. Data synchronization has its own progress and health status.

A request can also be waiting for UpSmith staff review. Entering a network ID does not grant access by itself. Follow the next action shown on the setup screen; if it asks for our team, contact support@upsmith.com.

Troubleshooting

The network app is installed, but the tenant is still pending. Ask your administrator to check the tenant ID, API group membership, and that Jenny AI is enabled for that tenant. Then check again in UpSmith.

There are multiple API groups. Contact UpSmith support to select the intended group. We do not choose a group by guessing.

Jenny AI is not available to install. Check that you entered the correct network ID, then contact UpSmith support. Our team may need to finish making the app available to the network.

This organization is already connected directly to a tenant. Contact support to move an existing live connection to a network. Do not disable the working app or rotate its secret as a setup workaround.

Adding another tenant later

In the other tenant's UpSmith organization, choose Network, use the same network ID, and enter that organization's tenant ID. Enable it in the intended API group and finish its own access check. A connected tenant does not grant access to the other tenants automatically.
